Children in Z-CoiL's

From a company standpoint, Z-CoiL's are not intended for use by children. We have made a couple of exceptions in cases where they are medically necessary. We have a couple of teenagers in the footwear who have muscular dystrophy. What we found was that because of the rocker sole, they have less of a chance to drag the tip of the shoe, reducing stumbling as they walk. Also, the shock reduction aids in the reduction of their foot and leg pain, which is often associated with this condition. Of course, they must be responsible enough to understand that there are tripping hazards that they have to be aware of.
